What counts as a plumbing emergency?

What to do while you wait
- Shut off the water. Find your main shut-off (usually where the water line enters the house, near the meter) and turn it clockwise. For a single fixture, use the small valve under the sink or behind the toilet.
- Kill the power if water is near electrical. If water is dripping near outlets, lights, or the panel, switch off the breaker for that area.
- Contain the water. Buckets, towels, and moving furniture out of the way save you a lot of cleanup later.
- Call us. Tell us what's happening and send a photo if you can — it helps us show up with the right parts.
